Mary Lou Walda, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Mary Lou enjoyed caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and DORCAS. She was an active volunteer for Elizabeth North Circle, PEO, Home Bound Meals, Lutheran Life, and her church. Mary Lou enjoyed playing cards with her friends at Fort Wayne Country Club. Surviving are her daughters, Ann (Tim) Dammeyer of Fort Wayne, and Leslie (Mike) Carr of Fremont, IN; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walda; parents, Walter and Amanda Vetter; and 2 brothers. Service is 10:30 am, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 West Washington Street with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Rd on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
