Mary E. Libbing, 51, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Mary lived in Fort Wayne most of her life. She graduated Bishop Luers High School ('84) and Indiana University ('91). With a Fine Arts degree, she shared her talent for design and color at Carmel Design and Ream Steckbeck Design for ten years before going back to school for her teaching degree. Mary worked at Homestead High School's Freshmen Academy and said daily how much she enjoyed her amazing "kids" and fellow staff. Mary shared her eclectic spirit and illumination with so many. Every dish she cooked tasted richer, every room she designed looked brighter and every person she loved glowed endlessly for having received her attention. She was life and light to her family. Mary is survived by her mother, Suzanne (Disser) Libbing, her six brothers and sisters, Anne Libbing, David Libbing (Denise), Stephen G. Libbing (Barbara), Clare M. Libbing, Janet (Shawn) Prendergast, Katie (Mathew) McAllister and her thirteen nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her father, Stephen V. Libbing. Mass of Christian Resurrection is 11:30 am, Saturday, November 11th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd, on Friday, November 10th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Preferred memorials are Bishop Luers High School or Vincent House.
