Marilyn Jean Vorndran, born December 17, 1927, died peacefully at home on December 5, 2017. She was a 1946 North Side graduate. Marilyn worked at Parkview Hospital and had 21 years of service. She attended St. Jude Catholic Church since 1946. Marilyn loved everyone she came into contact with and she will be missed greatly. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Vorndran; son Tim (Karen) Vorndran; son-in-law, Denny Baker; two granchildren, Matthew (Kayla) Vorndran and Christian Vorndran; two adopted great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Marilyn is preceded in death by her daughter, Marianne Baker; brother, Robert Welkin; father, Elmer Welklin; and mother, Eileen Welkin. Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, December 11, 2017,10:30 am at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive with an hour of calling prior to the Mass. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Sunday, December 10, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
