Maria M. Bejarano, 94, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Fort Wayne. Born in San Fernando, Mexico, Maria worked with Sand Point Greenhouse for over 35 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Maria was an avid gardener, and enjoyed flowers and plants, along with watching birds, and being with her cats. She loved to cook for her family especially preparing her mole or tamales. She also occasionally enjoyed her little cold bottle of Corona. Most of all she will be remembered as the rock and the glue that held her "familia" together. Surviving are her daughter, Evangelina G. Robles of Fort Wayne; and her grandson, Emilio G. Robles of Chicago, IL. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Bejarano; daughter, Maria de Los Angeles; parents, Espiridion and Rosario Gasnarez; 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am on Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Ave with calling 1hr prior. Calling also at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 South Calhoun St. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 4:00 pm.
