Margaret I. Vaught, 93, of Fort Wayne, went Home to the Lord on Thursday, May 16, 2019. She was born to the late Clell and Lucella (McBee) Jones on January 13, 1926 in Piqua, OH. On May 24, 1942 in Science Hill, KY she married the late Rev. Edward S. Vaught. Margaret was a devout Christian and was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church, where her late husband was the pastor. She was the Volunteer Director at the American Red Cross for ten years before retiring in 1987. Margaret loved and was blessed by her children and grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her children, Andrew (Mary) Vaught, Jonathan Vaught, and Paula (Roland) Beemer; grandchildren, Pacia Carpenter and Theresa Thomson; great-grandchildren, Blake Smith, Taylor Moody, Arianna Carouthers, and Jadrianna Carouthers; great-great-grandson, Keiylen Moody; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Alberta Mercer and Elizabeth Reed.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home Maplewood Park (4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery.
