Lucinda "Cindy" Kay (Pratt) Shook, 62, resident of Angola, born in Gas City, passed away in her home Friday, October 4th, 2019. Cindy was born March 5, 1957 in Gas City, the daughter of Jack & Shirley Pratt. She married James Shook on June 13, 2009. Cindy worked for Lutheran Hospital for 20 years, and she was recently working for Home Sweet Home and helping her daughter run Tillies Boutique. However she would say her best times were when she was being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Cindy enjoyed traveling, seeing new places- even within the town she lived. She was always looking for an adventure. She was never afraid to try something new. Cindy dressed up for every single calendar holiday, and was sure to celebrate. She believed family time was the most important time. She was a firm believer in Jesus, and you could always be sure to find her with her hands raised, singing praise in the church pew. Her family, siblings, and friends were one of the biggest blessings she was so grateful for all the memories she had made with them. She was always there for anyone who called, and her door was always open for long talks and good laughs. She forgave quick and loved hard. She lit up a room when she walked in, she never cared what anyone thought and she always wore a smile. Her family and close friends were everything to her. Wherever they were, as long as together- she was content. She is loved and missed so very deeply by all who knew her.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 10 years, James Shook; three children, Tahlia (Jeremy) Bracey, Saleina (Robert) Taylor, George Jessus (Holly) Gould ; 9 grandchildren Taylor, Gabriella, Emily, Kiele, Sara, Austin, Matthew, Alexis, and Alex; 2 great grandchildren Eden and Noah; her siblings Keven (Kim) Pratt, Carla (Janie) Pratt, and Sharice (Brian) Roth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Shirley Pratt, her brothers Timothy Pratt and Bradley Pratt.

A celebration of life will be held at Temple Congregational United Church of Christ , 1006 N Western Ave Marion, IN, on October 19, 2019 at 1pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation I Susan G. Komen.
