Lou Ann Merkler, 64, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at her home in Warsaw. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lou Ann was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Beaver. Lou Ann earned her associated degree in business from IPFW. She worked for Lincoln Life for 41 years prior to her retirement. Lou Ann absolutely loved "Lake Life." She enjoyed spending time with her close friend Kay Schoeff and getting together with the "Fab Five" ladies from her working years at Lincoln. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, David Merkler of Warsaw; children, Joe (Melissa) Merkler of Spencerville, John (Alycia) Merkler of Fort Wayne, Sara Merkler of Warsaw; grandchildren, Tyler, Kerrington, Ryan, Noah, Ayden, Ella, Elijah, and Grace; brother, Mike (Renee) Beaver of North Webster, and her beloved dog, Oscar. Lou Ann was preceded in death by her grandson, Gabriel Merkler. Service is 11:00 am, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W Jefferson Blvd with calling one hour prior, Pastor Thomas Eggold officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road Thursday, December 29, 2016, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
