Lloyd William Schaper Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Lloyd worked as a maintenance technician at Holsum Bakery prior to retiring in 2013. He was also a active member of RWDSU. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included metal fabrication and woodworking, reading, playing solitaire and working crossword puzzles. Surviving are his son Lloyd Schaper Jr.; two daughters, Michelle Antrim and Angela Schaper; four grandchildren, Travis Kolkman, Rory Antrim, Riley Antrim, and Joshua Antrim; six sisters, Marjorie, Ann, Gloria, Betty, Linda, and Susan; one brother, Ray; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog Layla and cat Tigger. He was preceded in death by his parents Christian Henry and Cecelia Maree Schaper; one sister, Carol; and the love of his life, Sandy. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Friday, October 12, 2018, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
