Lewis H. Mallett, 97, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018. Born in Summerfield, Ohio, Lewis was the son of the late Homer and Emily Mallett. Lewis was a WWII Army veteran. He worked with Roger Markets for 33 years, retiring in 1982. Lewis was a true "Do It Your Selfer." He enjoyed going to estate and garage sales, reading, gardening, and fishing in his youth. Surviving are his son, Larry (Erica) Mallett of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sandra (Michael) Blair of Leesburg, VA; grandchildren, Kelly (Kelly Ann) Blair, Carey (Brian) Albrecht, Mike Mallett, Lori (Kevin) Russell; step-grandchildren, Carrie Furniss, Jason (Jill) Long; five great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Lewis was preceded in death by wife, Mary Belle Mallett, companion, Edna Webber; three sisters; and one brother. The family would like to thank Angel Corporation, especially LaDonna Garza for her continued love and care of Lewis during his time on need. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Friday, March 30, 2018, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice.
