Lesa Deanne (Starbuck) McMurray went to be with her Lord, February 8, 2017, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. Lesa was born July 16, 1959, to James and Beverly (Holt) Starbuck. She graduated from West Jefferson High School in West Jefferson Ohio in 1977, and from The Ohio State University in 1983. Lesa was an avid fan of Ohio State football and basketball. She also had a passion for camping, hiking, and kayaking with her family. Lesa was a member of Christ's Community Church where she had been the secretary for over 10 years. She volunteered many hours helping with the childrens programs there. She had also helped her family in their volunteer work with the Boy Scouts. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kevin, her children Kyle (Naomi) McMurray, Sarah (Ben) Roby, Riley McMurray, and Sean McMurray, her parents Jim and Beverly Starbuck, her brother, Mike (Lisa) Starbuck, and her grandson, Ezra McMurray. Service will be 2 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Christ's Community Church, 10616 Liberty Mills Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana with calling one hour prior. Calling will be Saturday at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, WV.
