Leon M. Jones, 84, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. Born in Manchester, TN, to the late,Joseph and Luella Jones. Leon was an Iron Worker with Iron Workers Local 147 for 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and was a Boy Scout Troop leader for with troop #3456, sponsored by the Iron Workers union for handicapped children. Leon was a avid and die hard Chicago Cub and Bears fan. He enjoyed collecting trucks and his prize possession was his 1933 Chevy pickup. Surviving are his loving wife, Mary H. Jones of Fort Wayne, IN children, Brian Lee (Susan) Jones of Fort Wayne, IN, Calvin (Sharon) Roe of Warsaw, IN; George (Celeste) Ellis of Granger, IN; Brenda Jones of Grabill, IN; Lisa (Rick) Dye of Fort Wayne, IN; Judy (Robert) Fleming of Churubusco, IN; 12grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings, Bill (Natasha) Jones of Jupiter, FL; Mary (Don) Richards of Fort Wayne, IN. Leon was preceded in death by his parents first wife, Carol Jones, son, Neil Jones, , sisters, Juanita Madison, and Ann Coe. Service is 10:30 am, Thursday January 4, 2018 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 2:- 4 & 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
