Lenard M. Springer, 74, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, Lenard was a U S Army veteran and worked as a supervisor with B F Goodrich for 45 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. He enjoyed camping, boating, snowmobiling and grilling. He loved spending time with his family and working on his '71 Corvette. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Carol (Forsgren) Springer of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Shelley Westendorf of Thomasville, NC and Julie Springer of Mishawaka, IN; son, Michael Springer of Auburn, IN; granddaughter, Coraline Springer. Lenard was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Beryl Springer, brothers, William and Herbert Springer, sister, Cheryl Springer. Funeral Service is 10:30 am, Thursday, December 22, 2016 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Wednesday, December 21, 2016, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Riley's Children's Hospital or Trinity English Lutheran Church.
