Laurence "Larry" W. Codding, 85, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Signature Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Newark, NJ, Laurence worked as a Real Estate Investor. He was a member of John Chapman Kiwanis. Larry was a graduate of Colgate University, where he received his bachelor's degree in political science. He then served as a captain in the Marines, attended Indiana University and earned his MPA in public administration. Larry enjoyed running and had finished a marathon. He also enjoyed reading and traveling. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Codding of Fort Wayne; son, Philip L. (Julie) Codding of Shelbyville, IN; daughters, LindaAnn (John) Gonzalez of Auburn, IN and Beverly S. (James) Maguire of Elmhurst, IL; brother, Anthony S. Codding of Stratham, NH; sister, Sandra F. (Jay) Pekar of Stuart, FL; step-sister; Barbie Russell of Newark DE and 4 grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by father, Laurence W Codding, Sr. and mother, Amanda C Codding. A memorial service will take place at a later date, with burial in Anderson Memorial Park - Anderson IN.
