Larry J. Neely, 70, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Larry worked as a welder/fabricator with Wayne Metals, retiring in 2009. He was a 1965 North Webster High graduate. He was a member of Elmhurst Church of the Nazarene. Larry enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a story-teller and kept his hands busy by always tinkering. Surviving are his Spouse of 48 years, LaVone Neely; son, Brian (Kelly) Neely of Huntington; daughter, Trisha Neely of Yoder; grandsons, Michael and Mathew Neely; and brother, Robert (Marsha) Neely Jr of Fort Wayne, IN. Larry was preceded in death by father, Robert Neely, Sr.; mother, Avadna "Betty" Neely; and step-mother, Betty Neely. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at - D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with Rev. Richard C. Dickson officiating with an hour of calling prior to the service. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, Friday, July 28, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
