Kenneth "Kenny" R. Davis Jr., 46, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Born in Neubrucke, Germany, Kenny was the son of the late Kenneth R. Davis, Sr. and Linda M. Davis who survives. Kenny graduated from Bellmont High School in Decatur, Indiana. He had been working as a heavy equipment operator with Brooks Construction for the past 27 years. He was a member of IUOE Local 103, and was part of the labor union for ten years prior. Kenny's fun loving personality with his infectious smile will be missed. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing poker, watching Notre Dame, Dallas Cowboys, and the Cubs were a must. Kenny loved traveling with his wife and being around the ocean. He was a loving husband, and father to the two women in his life. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Anna (Stevens) Davis of Fort Wayne; daughter Kathleen Davis of Fort Wayne; mother, Linda May Davis of Decatur; brothers, Ryan (Katrina) Davis of Woodstock, GA, Shawn (Teresa) Davis of Fort Wayne, and Lonnie Davis of Decatur. Kenny was a loving son-in-law to Glenn R and Mary E. Oakman, and brother-in-law to Deb (Gary) Smith of Columbia City and Ed (Robin) Stevens of Wesley Chapel, Fl. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Joe Maddon Foundation.
