Kathleen Hyndman, 66, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 3, 1951 in Fort Wayne, IN. Kathy was the baker in Bishop Dwenger's kitchen for 28 years and was famous for Kathy's cookies and rolls. Kathy was a kind person who was always giving of her time and treasure to make someone's day better. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Steven Hyndman; children, Diane (Dave) Cohen, Amy (Matt) Fuhrmann, Lisa (Bruce) King; grandchildren; Abigail and Caroline Cohen; siblings, Linda (Harold) Ware, Jim (Judy) Degitz, Dan (Kathy) Degitz, Steven (Jan) Degitz, Phil (Holly) Degitz; mother, Dorothy (Howard) Olry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Degitz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church 1502 E. Wallen Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46825 with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park 1320 E. Dupont Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46825 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Rosary Service will also be held on Thursday at 2PM. Burial will take place in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bishop Dwenger High School for a future scholarship fund in Kathy's name.
