Joseph Andrew Tweedy,53, went home to our Lord on June 9, 2017 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home Ft. Wayne, IN after a long battle with cancer.
Joseph was a 1987 Graduate of the University of Iowa. He served ten years in the U.S. Navy as a Supply Corp Officer. He worked for nearly twenty years in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, most recently for Dometic Corp in LaGrange, IN. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He married Jennifer (Fuelling) Tweedy, who survives, on June 10, 2000. Other survivors include two sons, Brock and Cole Tweedy, at home. Parents, Karl and Ardath Tweedy of Keokuk, Iowa; In-Laws, Roger and Arlene Fuelling, Decatur, IN; brother Jeff (Brenda) Tweedy; sisters, Julie (Mark) Bowles and Jenny (Jim) Harris; Sister-in-law, Beth (Mike) Quinn, Brothers-In-Law, Dean (Mindy) Fuelling and Josh (Sara) Fuelling, four nieces and six nephews. Funeral Service is 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 13, 2017, with calling one hour prior, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8811 St. Joe Road Ft Wayne, IN, with Pastor John Stube officiating. Calling also Monday, June 12, 2017, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Rd. Ft Wayne, IN. Burial in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Decatur, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church and School at 8811 St. Joe Road Ft. Wayne. IN or to an education fund for Joe's children c/o Jennifer Tweedy.
