Joan L. Krouse, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed lake life, beaches, boating, camping, socializing, and sharing her love. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors in Fort Wayne and Arizona. Joan loved reading, sewing, traveling, antiques, and the arts. She will be remembered by her positive attitude, kind, loving, generous and compassionate heart, quick wit, big beautiful smile that she shared with everyone she knew and met. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Jack Krouse; her children, Robert (Sally) Krouse of North Manchester, IN, Linda Bird of Scottsdale, AZ, Michael Krouse of Fort Wayne, David (Mary Rondot) Krouse of Fort Wayne, Lori (John) Freistroffer of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Ruth Connett. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Monday, October 30, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr with calling one hour prior. Calling also D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Memorials may be made to the Usher Syndrome Coalition.
