Joan Katherine McKee, 80, of Fort Wayne, IN & Naples, FL, passed away on July 26, 2018 at 7:34 p.m and will be deeply missed. Joan was born in LaPorte, IN on Dec 20th, 1937 to Clarence & Rosa (Loy) Devereaux. She earned her Masters in Science in Education degree at Indiana State University and retired from teaching Home Ec at Northrop High School. Joan was an avid crafter, reader and red hat lady She loved spending time with her only child Annette and son-in-law Paul, going to garage sales, vacationing, shopping, and playing games, as well as her dog Lee Lee & grand doggies Bubby & Harley. She is survived by her daughter Annette (McKee) Springer, Son-in-Law Paul Springer, brothers Jim & Bob Devereaux and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert McKee, brothers Arnold & Richard Devereaux & sister Louise (Devereaux) Lewis. Viewing is July 31st at D.O. McCombs on Covington Rd from 2-4 & 6-8. Service is August 1st at 11:00 with viewing 1 hour prior. Funeral procession to Covington Memorial Gardens with celebration of life luncheon to follow at D.O McCombs.
