JoAnne Martin, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, JoAnne retired from the VA Canteen after 15 years of service. Surviving are her daughter, Kim (Douglas) Heiser of Fort Wayne; son, Thomas (Debra) Schlup of Fort Wayne; daughter, Sandra (Dan) Jones of Fort Wayne; companion, Joe Kohl of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeannie (Bill) Mockovak-Shelby of Tinley Park, IL. JoAnne was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth and Macye Martin; grandson, Paul "PJ" Gasparini; and great-granddaughter, Gray Monroe Poling. Service is 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 1, 2017 D. O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd with calling 2 hours prior beginning at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Allen County SPCA.
