Jesusita "Susie" (DeLuna) Guzman, 75, went to rest peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on Friday, October 20, 2017. Born in Nixon, Texas, Susie was the daughter of Ramon and Maria DeLuna, who preceded her in death. She was a certified nursing assistant and took great care of her patients in the Alzheimer's unit. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, canning, cooking, especially making tamales. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bluffton, and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Surviving are her children, Sylvia Ann Guzman, Diana Guzman, Juanita DeLeon, Alfonso Guzman, Rodolfo M. Guzman all of Fort Wayne;11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; siblings, Ramon (Josie) DeLuna, Sr., Esperanza (Rudy) Contreras, Consuelo Contreras all of Stinnett, TX. Susie was preceded in death by her siblings, Juan DeLuna, Adelina Reyes, and Esidro DeLuna. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 pm, Friday, October 27, 2017 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, with calling one hour. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue Thursday, October 26, 2017, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
