Jerry W. Bailey, 66, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jerry was the son of the late Ivan and Harriet Bailey. Jerry graduated from Elmhurst High School. Jerry founded Jerry W. Bailey Trucking Inc. in 1976 and expanded his small two truck operation to over 60 trucks in operation today. Jerry was very passionate about his job and loved going to work. Jerry enjoyed golfing, going to car shows, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Bailey of Fort Wayne; children, Chad Bailey, Krista (Jarod) Lee both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Carson, Maddox, and Keegan Bailey, Ava, Brendon, and Addison Lee; sister, Sharon (Don) Disque, Judy (Richard) Nill, and Pat Krouse all of Fort Wayne, along with many nieces and nephews. Service is 11:00 am, Monday, May 8, 2017 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Dr with calling one hour prior, Rev. Randall L. Glander officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Sunday, May 7, 2017, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
