Jerome J. Hoevel, 87, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Jerome worked as a toolmaker with the Zollner Corporation for 45 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Hoevel of Fort Wayne; children, Morris (Barbara) Hoevel of Okemos, MI, Sharon Hoevel of Phoenix, AZ, Carolyn (Jeff) White of Fort Wayne, and Kurt (Jody) Hoevel of New Haven, IN; 6 grandchildren, Corey Goodman, Ashley Bryant, Bradley Hoevel, Daniel Hoevel, Angela Hoevel, and Anthony Hoevel; 3 great-grandchildren, Kaidyn, Kylie, Khloey; brother, Alban (Jane) Hoevel of Washington, IN; and his sister, Marjorie Rosswurm of Fort Wayne. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Adelaide Hoevel; sisters, Agnes Davis, Florence Hoevel, and Rosemary Paris. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 8:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
