Jeannine R. DiFilippo, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 peacefully in her home. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Erwin and Olive Firestine. Jeannine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and was a generous and compassionate friend. She enjoyed reading and was very talented at knitting, sewing and craft making. She also shared her time and talents, volunteering at her church and was a member of Sew Sisters. Surviving are her children Michael (Vikki) DiFilippo, James DiFilippo, Patricia (Philip) Doak, all of Fort Wayne, IN; Mary (James) Cahill of Huntertown, IN; Gina (Gregory) Karbach of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Claire, Arthur, Alexander, Danielle, Philip, Steven and Michael, 9 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Patricia (David) Overmyer of Villa Park, IL. Jeannine was preceded in death by husband, Tony N. DiFilippo, and a daughter, Nancy Ruth DiFilippo. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Monday, March 26, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 Saint Joe Rd Fort Wayne, IN with calling one hour prior. Calling also Sunday, March 25, 2018, from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm with a Rosary, being held at 3:30 pm. at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN.
