Jeanne M. Hammen, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Jeanne was the daughter to the late Paul and Marie Freistroffer. She worked for Wayne Pharmaceutical for many years until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Jeanne was very intellectual and was the happiest person you would ever meet. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her sister, Nancy G. Murphy of Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Lee Hammen of Fort Wayne; three sister-in-laws Juanita Fabian, Geraldine Herber, and Susan Freistroffer; and many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Joseph "Bill" Hammen; father, Paul Freistroffer; mother, Marie Freistroffer; daughter, Susan M. Hammen; brother, John P. Freistroffer; sister, Dorothy A. LaMaster; and brother-in-law, T. Michael Murphy. Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 am, Monday June 11, 2018 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2120 S. Harrison with an hour of calling prior to the Mass. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Sunday, June 10, 2018, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
