Janet M. Long, 86, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Janet was the daughter of the late George Long and Marguerite Tarr. She was a legal secretary for 20 years, prior to her becoming an elderly care provider which she loved. She faithfully attended church at Roanoke Baptist Church. Janet was an avid walker, and loved her cats. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Ann Long of Raleigh, NC; along with many nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her brother, Gilbert Long. Service is 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Roanoke Baptist Church, 11015 Lafayette Center Rd with calling from 9:00 am until the service, Pastor Michael Tarr officiating. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Roanoke Baptist Church. D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
