Janet L. Kennedy, 73, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born December 31, 1938 in Fort Wayne, IN, Janet graduated from North Side High School in 1957. She worked at Indiana Bell Telephone Company and International Harvester. She was a member of Red Hat Society. She had a passion for collecting Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit memorabilia. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband of 53 years, Daniel Kennedy of Fort Wayne, daughters, Chantelle Kennedy, Elizabeth (Jason) Barnes both of Fort Wayne, grandchildren, Ava Kennedy, Noah and Isaac Barnes, brother, Robert Montgomery of Brookville, and sister-in-law, Karen Gebhart of Fort Wayne. Janet was preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Bernice Montgomery. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home, Friday, May 11, 2012 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
