James R. Keeney, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Lexington, OK, James worked as a Corrosion Engineer with Panhandle Eastern for 38 years. He was a member of the Texas Masonic Lodge. James enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to ski. Surviving are his Spouse of 67 years, Betty Keeney; daughters, Debbie (Richie) Clark of Loveland, CO, Terri Ecenbarger of Fort Wayne, and Cindi Keeney of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Kelsey Clark, Kara (Ross) Eads grandchild, and Emily (Cory) Stuck; and great-grandchild, Dylan Stuck; sisters, Charlene Russell of Dumas, TX and Gloria Woodman of Dumas, TX; and brother, Hilliard (Darla) Keeney of Berne, TX. James was preceded in death by father, Fred McCoy Keeney and mother, Willie Avin Keeney. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Texas Masonic Lodge.
