James E. Loehr, 87, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Chapman Place in Fort Wayne. Born in Birmingham, AL. James served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a very active in the local D.A.V. and American Motorcyclist Association. Surviving are his ex-wife, Marjorie Loehr; three sons, Dennis J. Loehr of Fort Wayne, Ernest W. (Vicki) Loehr of Columbia City, and Joseph A. Loehr of Fort Wayne; and daughter, Melinda Aguilera of Chicago, IL; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by father, George Loehr; mother, Mamie Wiles; two sisters, Mary J. Beard and Patricia Heilman; and brother George Loehr. Service is 11:00 am, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with Reverend Mike Eavey officiating with an hour of calling prior to the service.
