James C. Coen, 72, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Jim was born in Prince George's County, Maryland in 1945 to Wilma and Clair Coen. Jim graduated from North Side high school in 1962, and graduated from Michigan State University. He then served in the US army in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He returned to Fort Wayne and worked for Lincoln Financial Group, and left to create OPN systems, where he worked with large national and international clients. He continued to work with computers throughout his life, always using cutting edge technology. He recently focused on search engine optimization as a consultant to many companies. Surviving are his loving wife, Carol J Coen of Fort Wayne, IN; children Brian S Coen of Fort Wayne, IN; Amanda C (fiancé Justin C Mattingly) Coen of Washington, DC; Matthew C (Marybeth) Coen of Lake Dallas, TX; granddaughters, Katelyn and Claire Coen, sisters, Sallie Anders and Sharon Westerhausen both of Fort Wayne, IN. Service is 4:30 pm, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at - D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with a gathering two hours prior.
