Jack W. McGinnis, 68, passed away on Memorial Day Monday, May 29, 2017 at his home in Leo. Born on February 22, 1949, Jack was the son of the late Robert and Mary McGinnis. He graduated from South Side High School. Jack was a US Marine Vietnam veteran. He worked for General Electric for many years prior to his retirement in 1991. Very simply put, Jack was a Home Project Engineer. He was always thinking on his next home improvement project. Jack also enjoyed fishing, working on cars, motorcycles, and his yard. Jack loved his family and cherished his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife Patricia McGinnis of Leo; children, Kelly DuBois of New Haven, Gary (Sherry) Mix of Hoagland, Gregg McGinnis, Michael (Katherine) McGinnis both of Fort Wayne, mother of Gregg and Michael, Kathleen McGinnis of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Patrick (Candace) McGinnis of NC, and Kenny (Sandy) Seibert of FL. Service is 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling from 12:00 pm until the service, Rev. David Mitchell officiating.
