Hubert Runkle went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Born May 11, 1931 in Fulton County, Indiana, Hubert was the son of the late Hubert Thomas and Mary Runkle. He graduated from Mexico Indiana High School class of 1949. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. Hubert was the owner of Precise Tooling Company, specializing in plastic mold injections. He had a strong work ethic, enjoyed a challenge and his mind allowed him to invent many things. He loved to make people laugh with his funny jokes. Hubert was full of life. He enjoyed traveling, where he visited 18 countries, and Hawaii 14 times. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Roberta (McCracken) Runkle, children, Rick Runkle, Sheryl (Hans) Hess, Jim (Savannah) Runkle, Mechelle Runkle, Lisa McCoy, step-children, Pamela (Rod) Harrison, Jerry (Kathy) Murphy, Gary (Paula) Murphy; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his 10 siblings, and daughter Judith Ann Runkle. Service is 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2017 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd, with calling one hour prior, Rev. Dr. Steven Roper officiating. Calling at the funeral home Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church or Parkview Home, Health, and Hospice.
