Helen L. Rash, 80, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Helen was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Kathryn Rudolph Sr. Helen was a comptroller with the Allen County Police Department for 22 years, retiring in 2002. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing for many years together. Helen also had a talent for woodworking. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Thomas Rash of Huntertown; their four legged companion Rudy; children, Gary E. (Laura) Cook of New Haven, Carol Jean Dossen, Mary Louise (Randy) Frick both of Zanesville, Kathleen "Petie" (Randy) Bair of Chandler, AZ, Lisa Ann (Rex) Barrett of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip, David, and Robert Rudolph Jr. Service is 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior, Fr. Daniel Scheidt officiating. Calling at the funeral home Friday, January 13, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
