Harry D. Meads, 95, passed away Saturday October 6, 2018 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Monroeville, IN to the late Ira and Alma Meads. He graduated from Central high school in 1941. Harry was a pilot US Army Air Corp veteran during WWII and retired as Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force reserves in 1972. Harry worked at General Electric for 44 years, until his retirement in 1984 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Surviving are his daughters, Janet C (Randy) Green, Deborah K (Jeff) Siples, Ann M (Eric) Snouffer, all of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Kenneth A Meads of US Virgin Island;10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a brother Donald Meads of Fort Wayne, IN. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Carol Joan Meads and one sister and 3 brothers. Services will be 1 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, with calling starting at 11:11 am until service time. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery Fort Wayne, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Northeast Indiana Honor Flight or Heartland Hospice.
