Harold "Gene" Ellis , 91, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Crawfordsville, IN, Gene owned his own line striping and sealing company, Line Design. He also served as an Indiana State Trooper and served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Gene was a member of the Mizpah Shriners. Surviving are his 2 granddaughters, Leslie (Adam) Baron, and Kelly Ellis both of Fort Wayne; great-grandson, Jaxson Baron; brother, Carl Ellis; and son-in-law, Douglas Jones of Fort Wayne. Gene was preceded in death by his son, Marc "Chris" Ellis; daughter, Teresa Jones; parents, William and Juanita Ellis; and 1 sister. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday, November 17, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. To sign the online guest book, go to
