Harold D. Sprunger, 91, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at The Towne House Retirement Center of Fort Wayne. Born in Berne, IN, Harold completed his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from the University of Michigan. He worked with Dunbar Furniture where he served as President. Most recently he worked as a Plant Manager with Batesville Casket Company for 12 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, and an active volunteer with the Matthew 25 Clinic and Dupont Hospital. Surviving are his sons, Steve (Ann) Sprunger of Angola, IN; Mark (Donna) Sprunger of Allen, TX; and Matthew (Janel) Sprunger of Huntertown, IN; daughter, Christine Ostrander of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sprunger; parents, Grover and Katherine Sprunger; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. Celebration of Life service is 9:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Covenant United Methodist Church, 10001 Coldwater Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd.
