Gregory Scott Zirkle, 53, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Gregory worked as a Project Engineer with American Structure Point for 6 years. He served our country in United States Marine Corps. Greg was actively involved in the community, he played in the Senior Hockey League at the Icehouse and started the Men's group of Celebrate Recovery in Angola. He loved living on the lake, fishing, and the Chicago Blackhawks. Surviving are his father, Jerry Zirkle of Angola, sister, Mechalle Zirkle of Woodridge, IL, special friend, Chris Lewis, his dog, Gabby, cat, Fuzz, aunts; Mona Chambers of Fort Wayne, Joyce Brennan of Florida, Jacque (Gary) Spangler of Huntertown, Cheryl Zirkle of Ohio, Carol Zirkle, of Arizona, and Julia Miller of Angola, uncles; Ted (Francie) McComb of Fort Wayne and Jim Green of Churubusco, and many cousins . Gregory was preceded in death by mother, Linda (McComb) Zirkle. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at - D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling an hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Friday, March 10, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Huntertown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County.
