Gilbert W. Foltz, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Heritage Park Health Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Gilbert was the son of the late Glen and Mildred Foltz. Gilbert was a Korean War Air Force veteran. He worked with Perfection Biscuit Company for 43 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the American Legion #499. Gilbert loved to sing. He would volunteer at nursing homes frequently and sing to the residents. He also enjoyed traveling, but most of all spoiling his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Caroline Foltz of Fort Wayne; children, Linda (Erwin) Binder of Mitchell, Carolyn Kurtz of Ashley, Patty Foltz, Michelle (Jeremy) Lemon, Julia (Wade) Shipley all of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings Richard (Gloria) Foltz of LA, Gerald (Jan) Foltz of CA, and Darlene Knoll of MI. Service is 11:00 am, Monday, February 27, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, with calling one hour prior, Rev. Richard C. Dickson officiating. Calling at the funeral home Sunday, February 26, 2017, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
