George Craib, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was born September 10, 1929 in Anderson, IN, the son of the late George Edward and Chelsea Craib. George served in the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Technician 5 years. He then continued his work as an Electronic Technician for the FAA at Baer Field Airport in which he retired. Upon his retirement George and Mary moved to Florida where they spent 7 years. He is remembered as the neighborhood fix it man, he was great at tinkering and repairing anything he came across, from radios to bicycles. He enjoyed being busy, going out to lunch, spending summers at the lake cottage, and visiting places like Airplane museums. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mary Craib; children; Al (Marlene) Craib; Betty (John) Grawcock; Nora (Jim) Braun; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2pm with calling 2 hours prior at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood 4017 Maplecrest Road Ft .Wayne, IN 46815. Burial will take place in Concordia Cemetery Gardens Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Safe Haven for Veterans 2424 Fairfield Ave. Ft. Wayne, IN 46807 or the Alzheimer's-Dementia organization at
