George "Bill" Parrot, 88 passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne. Born September 3, 1928 in Jackson, Michigan, George worked as a steel fabricator for PWC Fabrication retiring in 1993. He served in the US Army 29th Infantry during the Korean War. He was a charter member of the Heritage Lions Club, a member of the American Legion and the Southwest Conservation Club. Surviving are his children: Virginia (James Maury) Adams, Cheryl (Richard) Blaugh both of Fort Wayne, Jacqueline (Timothy) Sorg of Churubusco, and John (Anne) Parrot of Fort Wayne, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan in 1995, his parents Norbert and Berneice Parrot, and his siblings; Walter, Margaret, and Norbert. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Rd, with calling one hour prior, Msgr. Bruce Piechocki officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield, Sunday, November, 13, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 with a rosary service at 5:30pm. Burial in St. Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery.
