Franklin "Frank" Meehan, 19, joined his loved ones and the Lord in Heaven on November 6, 2017. He was born on June 10, 1998 in Fort Wayne, IN.
Franklin attended Homestead High School, and completed the Auto Collision program through Anthis Career Center his senior year.
He was passionate about many things, the beach and the water being one of them, including jumping off the 30 foot platform at Pine Lake. He had most recently attended IVY Tech and was in their Auto Body program. One of his most recent accomplishments was purchasing his own car which he purchased with his own earned money. His other passions included; tennis, Xbox, Star Wars, willingly attending his sister's dance performances, star gazing, playing and coaching soccer, and was Indiana's number 1 Patriot's fan. He had the closest bond with his sister, Lenie. They looked out for each other and protected one another, sharing a sibling bond that couldn't be broken. Frank was loving and devoted son. He was a free spirit who loved his family and was close with the Lord.
Surviving are his parents, Jane and Dennis Meehan; sister, Helena "Lenie" ; grandmother, Patricia Meehan; aunts and uncles, Theresa (Salman) Khan, Marcia Wong, Norene (Jack) Arnold, Katie (Dennis) James, Joe (Janet) Altmeyer, Katie (Rex) Herendeen, Bridget (John) Grier, Colleen (Brad) Jacobson, Eileen (Terry) Ludos, Patrick (Belinda) Meehan, Michael (Mary) Meehan, Molly (Roberto) Gudiel, Terry (Laura) Meehan, Anne (Greg) Molinari, Sarah (Gale) Seaton; cousins, Oliver (Kyra) Wong, Vanessa and Pia Bazzani, Nick and Lauren Arnold, Kurtis and Maddie Meyers, Emily McFadden, Ellen (Stephen) Reuille, Megan Herendeen, Jessie (Jennifer) Herendeen, and Joel (Angela) Herendeen, Karen (Edward) Bogard, Daniel (Rebecca) Jacobson, Erin (Joe) Ryan, Hannah Jacobson, Cora (Greg) Bennett, Max Meehan, Sean (Jordan) Meehan, Tyler and Connor Meehan, Kaleigh, Jack, Patricia, and Gabriella Molinari, Garrett, Lucy and Lena Seaton; and his beloved and faithful dog, River.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Francis Meehan, and Joseph and Patricia Altmeyer; aunt, Liz Bazzani; and uncle, Timothy Meehan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with calling 1 hour prior.
Visitation will take place Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 at D.O.McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Chapel, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46804. A rosary service will take place at 7:30pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley's Children Hospital Neurology Unit, or Anthis Career Center.
