Floy Irene (Parr) Grimm, 107, passed away on December 27, 2018. She was born in Salem Township, Indiana on December 15, 1911, the daughter of the late Augustus and Ella (VanPelt) Parr. Floy was the owner of Floy Dee's Beauty Salon. She was a charter member of the Genealogy Society of Allen County and a past member of Carroll Road Christian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed oil painting and making porcelain laced dolls. She was featured in senior living magazine in February 2012. Floy lived a long good clean life filled with many stories and special memories. Surviving are her 5 grandchildren, Gregory Wayne (Caroline) Sheets, Douglas Eugene Sheets, Brenda Sue Sheets-Hyndman (Brent Hoffman), Faith Ann (Matthew) Webb, Hope Angela Laker; 13 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her children, James Henry "Jimmy Boy" Wheeler, and Carole Ann (Wheeler) Sheets; grandchildren; Jeffory Thomas Sheets, Linda Carole Sheets; grandson-in-law, Craig Laker; first husband, Henry L. Wheeler, second husband, Donald DeWitt; third husband, Robert C. Grimm; siblings, Elwood Parr, Fern Seidel, and Imogene "Polly" Parker. Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3. Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County SPCA. The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to the staff at Renaissance Village Nursing Home where she lived her last year, and also the lovely friends at Homebound Meals.
