Eldon "Al" Charles Weikart, 103, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Heritage Park Health Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Al worked with The City of Fort Wayne, retiring in 1976. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Al was an avid golfer, having serveral holes in one. In addition he enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame Football. Surviving are his daughters, Carole (Michael) Kloepper of Fort Wayne and Barbara (Thomas) Minnella of Plano, TX; five grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Al was preceded in death by spouse, Evelyn M. Weikart; father, John Weikart; mother, Mary Weikart; brothers, Jerry, William, Jim, and Bob Weikart; and grandson, Sean Kloepper. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 pm, Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with an hour of calling before the Mass. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
