Edwin Earl Bicknese, 83, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, the son of the late Earl and Thelma Bicknese. Ed attended South Side High School, graduating in 1952. He served the Fort Wayne community as a firefighter for 26 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed going to antique shows, and worked at a local antique shop after his retirement. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and also spending time at Leo Café with his friends.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Bicknese; children, Lori Losher, and Lisa Bicknese; grandchildren, Timothy (Tiffany) Losher, Daniel Losher, Lindsay Losher, Zachary (Jessica) Bicknese, Brian (Jessica Richey) Bicknese; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Losher, Lola Bicknese, London Bicknese; and his cats, Katie, and Butch.
He was preceded in death by his son; Christian Bicknese.
Funeral service will take place 11AM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Ave Fort Wayne, IN 46805 and will be officiated by Pastor Robert "Bob" Eickmann, with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be at the funeral home, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Burial to take place in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
