Edmund R. "Ed" Kubinski, 68, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Ed was the son of the late Edmund and Ann Kubinski. Edmund was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He worked for General Motors in California for many years prior to his retirement. Ed enjoyed restoring antique cars, raising horses, and chickens, being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was a member of American Legion #82. Surviving are his daughter, Karen Klaff of Harvest, AL; son Richard Klaff of Fort Wayne; step-children, Maria Trujillo, Salvador Delacerda, Jennie (Mike) Gonzalez all of Fort Wayne; former son-in-law, Christian Zavala; grandchildren, Jalin Klaff, Avannah Scruggs, Alexis Jones, Alyssa Klaff, Haley Klaff, Richard Klaff; step-grandchildren, Destiny Zavala, Merina Zavala, Angel Zavala, Ruben Zavala, Jestina Flores, Isaiah Flores, Nyomi Flores, Nehemiah Flores-Burnette, Grace Walters, Aria Trujillo, Michael Gonzalez, Jr., Angelina Gonzalez; four step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bruce (Stephanie) Kubinski of Glendale, AZ, Patricia Kubinski of Flagstaff, AZ, Sharon Kubinski of MI; and his cat Princess. Ed was preceded in death by his sister Linda. Service is 11:00 am, Friday, March 2, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Thursday, March 1, 2018, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
