Edith M. Beckstein, 95, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehab in Ft. Wayne surrounded by her loving family. Born in New York, NY, Edith worked with Magnavox for 15 years, retiring in 1966. She enjoyed bowling and loved her grandchildren. She was strong-willed and had a spunky spirit. Edith made an impression on everyone she met. She would "tell it like it is". She will be greatly missed but her legacy will never be forgotten. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Treesh Knepper of Fort Wayne; son, Michael Treesh (Brenda) Oliver of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Lisa Kay (Kenneth) Eskridge of Harvest, AL, Eric James (Nicole) Knepper of Plainfield, IL, Krista Lynne (David ) Cocks of Fort Wayne, Karie Ann Johnson of Westfield, IN and Ty (Marcia) Michael Oliver of Crescent City, CA; great-grandchildren, Keane, Kaleb, Kaitley, Kyler, Kara, Zachary, Catherine, Zane, Madison, Shelby, and Jayden; and special grand-puppy, Vader. Edith was preceded in death by father, Peder Pedersen; mother, Johanne Pedersen; spouse, Howard G. Beckstein; son, James M. Treesh; grandchild, Daniel "Dano" Alan Knepper; sister, Else Maughan; and son-in-law, Frank Knepper. Calling at - D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Tuesday, December 19, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
