Earl Landis, 91, passed away surrounded by family, September 27, 2018. Earl served during World War II as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy. He then worked for Essex Wire for 36 years before retiring in 1982. Earl and his wife, Doris, retired early so they could enjoy travelling and antiquing. They spent their winters in Texas for many years. Earl is survived by children, Theresa Stang of Albion, IN, Kathy Horvath of Fort Wayne, IN, Jeff (Mary) Landis of Decatur, GA, Mark (Mindy) Landis of Fort Wayne, Sheila (Tom) Hogan of McCordsville, IN, and Annette (Dennis) Weaver of Dacula, GA, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, of 50 years, parents James and Ilan Landis, two brothers and seven sisters. Services at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park- 1320 E Dupont Rd 46825 Monday October 1, 2018 at 10 am with calling an hour prior. Visitation also at the funeral home Sunday September 30, 2018 from 2 pm to 6 pm. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society- Indiana Chapter 111 East Ludwig Rd Ste 150, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
