Earl A. Bansback, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Fort Wayne. Born in Chicago, IL, Earl worked as a sales manager with Magnovox for over 20 years, most recently he worked for Custom Video, and volunteered for the United Way. Earl served his country as a member of the US Army. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church where he loved singing in the choir. Earl will be remembered as an accomplished musician. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Carole Bansback of Fort Wayne; son, Thomas (Jill) Bansback of Granger, IN; daughter, Laura (Michael) Donohoe of Columbia, SC; daughter, Debra (Marc) Heitzman of Henderson, NV; 6 grandchildren; and his sister, Margie Garling of Morris, IL. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Delia Bansback; and his twin sister, Gloria Wilkenson. Service is 10:30 am, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 7211 Stellhorn Rd, with calling 1hr prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church .
