Dorothy L Kissinger, 90, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Clarence and Viola Anderson. Dorothy worked in customer service with JC Penney for 25 years, and later pursued a career at Lincoln Financial until she was 82 years old. After retirement she was passionate about volunteering at Lutheran Hospital. Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star Shiloh Chapter No.141 and the Southwest Church of Christ. Surviving are her children, Donald (Angela) Kissinger of Virginia Beach, VA, Debbie (Rob Chalfant) Plunkett of Fort Wayne, Diana (Rick) Kimmel of Roanoke, IN, and Darlene (David) Collins of Roanoke, IN; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Anderson of Fort Wayne. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kissinger; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Service is 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd with calling 3 hours prior beginning at 4:00 pm. The family is thankful for the care they received from Heartland Hospice.
