Don W. Wyneken, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at his home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Don graduated from North Side High School and earned his JD from Valparaiso University. During his tenure at college he was loving known by his fraternity as "Roach." He was an attorney with Blume, Wyneken, Connelly, Jordan and Stucky for 35 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, Allen County Indiana Bar Association, Allen County Fort Wayne Historical Society. Don was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching sports, keeping up with current affairs as well as spending time with friends and family. Surviving are his wife, Susan Wyneken of Fort Wayne; son Michael (Sheryl) Wyneken of Tucson, AZ; and daughter, Karen "Kacy" Hignite of Fort Wayne. Don was preceded in death by his parents E.J. and Anna Wyneken; brothers, Robert and Ed Wyneken, and son-in-law, Michael Hignite. Service is 1:30 am, Friday, April 8, 2016 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield, with calling from 11:00 am until the service. Private Family Cemetery Service.
